While criticising aspects of the present administration of His Excellency, Dr. Agbu Kefas, Senator Emmanuel Bwacha’s proposed approach to governance places emphasis on transparent public finance, responsible borrowing, efficient public institutions and measurable development outcomes. His vision is to ensure that public resources are managed prudently and translated into tangible benefits for the people of Taraba State.
In agricultural and industrial transformation, Senator Bwacha intends to promote modern agricultural practices, agro-processing, improved market access, value addition and export development. The objective is to harness Taraba’s vast agricultural potential, strengthen local industries, stimulate economic growth and create sustainable opportunities for farmers, entrepreneurs and investors.
His agenda for job creation, youth development and women’s empowerment centres on revitalising enterprise development, expanding access to capital, providing mentorship, encouraging innovation and creating productive employment opportunities. Through these interventions, he hopes to empower young people and women to become active contributors to the state’s economic growth.
Education and human capital development will also occupy a central position in his proposed administration. His vision includes improving public education, expanding scholarship opportunities, nurturing talents and creating greater opportunities for children and young people to realise their full potential. The broader objective is to build a skilled, knowledgeable and productive population capable of competing in an increasingly dynamic economy.
In healthcare and social protection, Bwacha proposes strengthening health facilities, improving access to qualified healthcare personnel, expanding health insurance coverage and providing support for senior citizens and other vulnerable groups. His approach recognises that a healthy population is essential to sustainable development and that access to essential healthcare should be a priority in governance.
On infrastructure and economic competitiveness, his vision extends to road construction, improved energy generation and supply, access to clean water and expanded digital connectivity. These investments, he believes, would facilitate commerce, attract investment, improve connectivity between communities and enhance the quality of everyday life for residents.
Regarding security, inclusion and social cohesion, Senator Bwacha’s vision is to move beyond rhetoric towards practical measures that make communities safer, promote equitable development and respect the diversity of Taraba State. He maintains that governance must serve every citizen fairly, irrespective of tribe, region or religion, while fostering unity, peaceful coexistence and a shared sense of belonging.
Ultimately, Senator Emmanuel Bwacha intends to bring to the governance of Taraba State a combination of leadership competence, charisma, dignity, transparency, political acumen and innovation, underpinned by a genuine commitment to the welfare and aspirations of the people.
His vision is to build a Taraba State where public resources are responsibly managed, economic opportunities are expanded, institutions function effectively, and development reaches communities across the state.
