JAMB Releases 2026 UTME Original Result Slips for Printing

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has announced the release of the 2026 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) original result slips, allowing candidates to print them within two hours of issuance.

According to the examination body, the result slips are now available for printing and are required for admission screening processes across tertiary institutions in Nigeria.

Result Slips Now Available for Immediate Printing

JAMB confirmed in a statement issued by its spokesperson, Fabian Benjamin, that candidates can access their original result slips shortly after issuance.

The board stated that the 2026 UTME original result slip will be available for printing within two hours, making it easier for candidates to proceed with admission requirements without delay.

Important Details on the Result Slip

JAMB explained that the original result slip contains several security and identification features, including:

  • Candidate’s passport photograph

  • National ranking

  • Security verification details

These features are designed to ensure authenticity and support post-UTME screening processes in higher institutions.

How Candidates Can Print Their Result Slips

According to JAMB, candidates can print their original result slips using any internet-enabled device, including:

  • Mobile phones

  • Personal computers

  • Accredited cyber cafés

The board encouraged candidates to carefully review all personal information after printing and retain copies for future admission processes.

UTME 2026 Examination Timeline

The 2026 UTME main examination was conducted in April 2026, while a mop-up examination was held on June 13 for candidates affected by technical or biometric challenges.

Results from the mop-up exercise were released on Tuesday, June 16, 2026.

JAMB noted that the delay in releasing printable result slips was necessary to accommodate both foreign-based examinations and mop-up assessments.

Admission Process Set to Begin

With the release of the original result slips, candidates are now expected to proceed with applications for admission into tertiary institutions for the 2026/2027 academic session.

Many universities, polytechnics, and colleges of education are already preparing to begin or commence their post-UTME screening exercises.

JAMB Advises Candidates

The examination body urged candidates to ensure accuracy when printing their result slips and to keep multiple copies for future use during admission verification.

JAMB also emphasized that the result slip remains an essential document in the admission process and must be handled carefully.
