"Whatever she said in the recording, she can say it to anybody's face" - Nkechi Blessing speaks up for Toyin Abraham over leaked audio

Nollywood actress Nkechi Blessing has spoken up for her colleague, Toyin Abraham, following her leaked audio.

Kemi Filani reported that a 12-minute leaked audio recording of Abraham, lashing out over the daily insults and criticisms she was constantly receiving and addressing her relationships with colleagues, had surfaced online.

The audio recording, primarily in Yoruba and pidgin, also showed Abraham’s fan repeatedly hurling insults at Funke Akindele, while Abraham listened and laughed rather than reprimanding her.

In a video she shared online, she vouched for Toyin, saying the actress can repeat her statement to one’s face. According to her, there’s nothing Toyin wants to say behind someone’s back that she can’t say to one’s face.

Similarly, Yetunde Bakare reacted to criticisms over her comment on Regina Chukwu’s post about people who secretly record conversations. She questioned if her crime is supporting someone with her full chest. Calling their behaviour a high level of stupidīty, she said they need special evaluation.

Not done, she made a video online explaining the situation, claiming she wasn’t aware of Toyin’s leaked audio when she left a comment on Regina’s page. She revealed that Toyin’s fans always attack her whenever she comments on Funke’s posts.

In other news, Toyin held a praise concert for her fans, where she gave them cash and gifts. She noted that her fans were rarely present at her movie premieres, so she hasn’t decided to host a praise concert every year, which will also include a red carpet.

One of the actress’s protégés, Zainab Agbaogun, saluted her after completing her NYSC.

In her tribute to the actress, she thanked Toyin for standing by her, believing in her, and being a constant source of support throughout her journey. Zainab described Toyin as a mother to her, thanking her for her love, guidance, and support.

Toyin won the hearts of many when she adopted Adetokunbo Alimat Omidina, the daughter of the late actor Baba Suwe and the actress Omoladun.

According to reports, the daughter of the Yoruba veteran had been struggling with school, and a tweep had called out to Toyin to adopt the girl. The movie star, who saw the tweet, had reached out to the young lady.

Earlier this year, Abraham had addressed the claims by her former protege, Abike Shugga, addressing their fallout. She said she never paid the sums being speculated, insisting the figures were inaccurate.

Abike Shugga, in an eight-minute video, spoke about her working relationship with Toyin and their fallout due to her movie, Ijakumo: The Born Again Stripper. She revealed her payment structure with the actress and alleged that she was left out of the final version of the movie, despite her participation and heavy promotion.
